With the gondola you can comfortably reach the Eggli mountain house where the hike starts. From there, you hike down the ridge from Eggli to Saanen. The path leads evenly and relatively directly to Saanen. On the left side, you can see the Gummfluh and the Rübli, two impressive mountains.

  • Approach

    The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly at the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Geneva lake area, and the Greyerzerland. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports of Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the region are the train "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postbus lines.
