Welcome to the paradise of ski touring enthusiasts. Thanks to its sheltered location, the Gstaad holiday region offers fantastic powdery slopes all winter long. From the gentle foothills of the Alps to strenuous mountain expeditions, ski tourers will find attractive routes at altitudes of 1,000 to 3,200 m above sea level. With numerous options for winter adventures and opportunities to improve your ascent technique, Gstaad is the ideal destination for keen ski tourers. Appropriate equipment and, if necessary, a local mountain guide are provided to keep you safe. After a tour, reward yourself with a picnic of local delicacies, relax in the spa or enjoy a delicious dinner – indulgence comes guaranteed here.

Ski Touring with Responsibility

Our ski tours take you through pristine winter landscapes – far away from secured and marked slopes. Please note: You are undertaking these tours at your own risk. We do not assume any liability for accidents or damages. For your safety, we strongly recommend that you undertake a tour accompanied by a certified mountain guides or a snow sports instructor from a recognized snow sports school.

Information & tips!

  • Fit and Healthy in the Mountains
    Ski touring is an endurance sport. It requires physical fitness, realistic self-assessment, and an appropriate pace.
  • Careful Tour Planning
    Map, internet, information about length, altitude difference, difficulty, and current conditions & weather report. (Euro emergency number 112, REGA 1414).
  • Complete Equipment
    Ski touring equipment, avalanche equipment (transceiver with 3 antennas, probe, shovel), first aid kit, bivouac sack, and mobile phone are mandatory.
  • Avalanche Report, Snow Conditions & Avalanche Risk Assessment
    Inform yourself about the avalanche situation before the tour. Pay attention to danger levels, exposure, altitude, and daily developments. When in doubt: turn back.
  • Breaks and Orientation
    Regular breaks, fluid and energy intake maintain concentration and performance. Map, compass, altimeter & GPS help with orientation.
  • Small Groups
    Groups of up to 6 people increase safety, stay together.
  • Respect for Nature and the Environment
    Stay on official routes, avoid wildlife rest areas & reforestation areas.
