The sun terraces are calling us!

We could hardly wait! Finally, the sun terraces are open again. Whether you are on a mountain or at one of the many restaurants in the valley – you can really relax and enjoy the moment. You will find it particularly romantic on the Hotel Hornberg terrace in Saanenmöser. The iced coffee here is legendary and the sunset with a view onto Rübli is almost kitschy. It’s a bit more rustic on the village square in Saanen. Here, the 16 Boucherie serves spicy Thai Curry and juicy burgers. Don’t forget to book in advance because the seats are limited! The Eggli gondola lift has been in summer operation since 14 May and provides relaxing moments on weekends and public holidays with its large terrace. From 11 June, the cable car will run continuously and the Horneggli, the Rinderberg as well as the Sanetsch will also start operating from 18 June. Which mountain restaurant has the terrace with the best view?

Culinary Delights in the Outdoors

A dream comes true for all picnic lovers. Beginning this summer, the new Gstaad picnic basket is available. It can be picked up at grocery stores and hotels in the destination, and then you are off to your favourite spot. Spread out the picnic blanket, et voilà! Those who are worried about carrying around a basket on a hike can order the Gstaad picnic rucksack instead. This one is filled with the same delicious products and can easily be carried on your back. Where is the most beautiful place en route for a break or picnic? Actually, there are very many. Plus there are a few new places to spend time at where you can comfortably relax on a bench, at a wooden table or on a lounger. From Zweisimmen we take a leisurely walk towards Sparenmoos to the Rischbach spring. We stop at the fire pit situated among the blossoming fruit trees, enjoy the wonderful view onto the village and let the warming spring sun shine on our face.
