Saturday – arrival, enjoy Gstaad
After your arrival, you enjoy a small lunch on the Promenade in Gstaad. From the take-away-burger to the fancy restaurant, you will easily find something for your taste. At Charly’s, for example, you’ll find a great-tasting lunch menu, whether you have a large or small appetite. Our tip: leave some room for a delicious dessert – the “Creme-Schnitten” here is excellent! Afterwards, you stroll through the pedestrian zone and enjoy the magic of the charming chalets. Now, at the latest, you will have arrived in your winter holiday.
Sunday – discover the largest ski area of the region
On the skis! The day begins in Saanenmöser. The modern 10-person gondola takes you up to Saanerslochgrat, where you can enjoy the first turns. The largest partial ski area of the holiday region Gstaad reaches from Zweisimmen and St. Stephan to Schönried and Saanenmöser. With its many blue and red runs, the two Funparks and numerous mountain restaurants, it offers everything you need for a great day of skiing. Are getting hungry while skiing and want to take a break? The "Iglu-Dorf" is not only worth a visit because of the cool atmosphere, but also because the hotel made of snow and ice is a real eye-catcher.

Monday – where winter is at home
In winter, the area around Lake Lauenen is quite special: you can enjoy the tranquillity of nature and really feel the bitter cold. The frozen lake and the snow-covered landscape are as idyllic as it gets. Whether you are enjoying a relaxing winter hikeI or a sportier activity like cross-country skiing – today Lake Lauenen is on the agenda. Or how about a ride on the horse-drawn carriage? By the way, you can combine the carriage ride with a visit to Bochtehus Beizli, where a delicious fondue and a warming mulled wine await you. Note: On weekdays, be sure to book in advance.

Tuesday – snow, wellness and cheese
The day begins on the Wasserngrat. Here is the steepest ski slope in the destination Gstaad. This 2,5 km long black slope is known as Tiger Run. For advanced skiers, it’s a challenging, but totally enjoyable experience. A visit to the spa will soothe your tired legs after this run, so they will be fit for the next day. The first-class wellness offer, in and around Gstaad, invites you to relax. There is one more highlight to round off the day: In “Michel's Stallbeizli”, the traditional Swiss dish awaits - a fine Gstaad cheese fondue. Behind the glass you can admire the actual inhabitants of the stable. Most of the products offered here come from them - regional, simple and really delicious.

Wednesday – way up high at Glacier 3000
Way up high during your visit to Glacier 3000. Have you already been up at almost 3000 metres above sea level and walked from one mountain to another? This adrenaline-driven adventure is a highlight at the only glacier ski area in the Bernese Oberland. The view even extends past the canton of Bern borders. In addition to the Bernese Alps, you can also see the Matterhorn in the distance. A dog sledge ride is a true winter experience here. In the evening, we recommended you explore the different restaurants in Gstaad, as Gstaad is not considered the ultimate place for fine dining for nothing.

Thursday – enjoyment on the mountain
In the ski area Eggli-La Videmanette, you will find the longest slope in the region. The 7.5 km slope with an 1'160 m altitude difference, is a must for all skiers. However, it’s not only the long run that make the ski area between Gstaad and Rougement so popular. It’s also known as a ski area for pleasure-seekers. The Bergrestaurant La Videmanette offers great alpine views. In the afternoon, the Eggli Lounge is the perfect place for a stylish après-ski.

Friday – out and about with snowshoes
What would a winter holiday be like without a snowshoe hike? Our tip: the Nüjeberg Trail on the Sparenmoos. The tour over the sunny high plateau above Zweisimmen is quite impressive thanks to the view onto the Bernese and Fribourg Alps, the Simmen Valley and the Saanenland. In the evening, you can let your holiday in Gstaad come to an end. For a change from traditional Swiss cuisine, try the Mango restaurant in Gstaad. The delicious Indian curries and masala chai will warm you from the inside after a long winter day.
