The hiking trails in the holiday region Gstaad take you through very varied sceneries offering spectacular views. Along the way you will discover moorlands, deep gorges, Alpine valleys, high mountain peaks and, of course, the beautifully located Alpine restaurants. With over 300 kilometres of signposted and maintained trails and paths, Gstaad is a true hiking paradise – ideal for leisurely walks on one of the panoramic trails as well as for challenging, multi-day hikes in the mountains. The dense and expansive network of routes, which is ideally accessible thanks to the many lifts, cable cars and different modes of public transport, is sure to offer something for everyone.

In the Gstaad holiday region, there are hiking trails for every taste. Whether alpine tours, multi-day routes, family hikes, themed trails or strolls - there is a wide range on offer. Most of the starting points for the hikes are easy to reach by train and bus, free of charge with the Gstaad Card.

The Hiking Challenge during the summer of 2025 ended on 19 October
Together with the Peakhunter app (the summit logbook in your pocket), we challenged you to visit eight of 18 mountain huts, and with a little luck, attractive prizes now await the finishers! The draw will take place at the beginning of November and the lucky winners will be notified directly. We would like to thank all participants and look forward to seeing you again at the 2026 Hiking Challenge!

Roundtrip-tickets

Fondueland Gstaad
In Fondueland Gstaad, there's nothing better than savouring a delicious fondue in the heart of the mountains. Two specially equipped huts and five oversized caquelons provide a convivial setting for savouring the fondue with an incomparable panoramic view. All the necessary ingredients are packed in the fondue rucksack and can be ordered from the dairies in the region, from Berghaus Wispile and from the hotels.
