The ski and hiking arena with fun and action

The mountain railways between Schönried's local mountain Horneggli and the Rinderberg above Zweisimmen provide access to the largest skiing and hiking area in the Destination. Attractive ridge and high-altitude hikes in summer and over 105 km of ski runs and three toboggan runs in winter connect Schönried, Saanenmöser, Zweisimmen and St. Stephan. At the Rinderberg mountain station, an exciting facade playground awaits children who love to move around. In winter, numerous restaurants and ski bars await discovery.

    

Highlights Summer

The easy high-level hike Rinderberg - Horneggli offers a magnificent alpine panorama and is particularly suitable for families and senior citizens. Fun and action for families is provided by the façade playground and the scooter run on the Rinderberg and the "Wake Up Gstaad" wakeboard facility on the storage lake on the Hornberg. Food and drink is also available in the hiking arena, the mountain hotels Hornberg and Hornfluh, the Rinderberg Swiss Alpine Lodge and numerous "Alpbeizli" invite you to enjoy and linger. Various long-distance hiking routes as well as the flower trail, with exciting information on local flora, round off the offer in summer. 


    

Highlights Winter

In winter the ski arena Rinderberg - Saanersloch - Horneggli forms the largest contiguous ski area in the Destination Gstaad with over 105 km of ski slopes. There are numerous snow bars and mountain restaurants with sun terraces with a wonderful view on the slopes. The three connected toboggan runs provide an exciting winter day for non-skiers. For an action-packed day of skiing, there are two snow parks and a skimovie track with timekeeping as well as a permanent skicross track on the Rinderberg. Those who prefer a less fast-paced approach can enjoy the panoramic winter hike from Horneggli to Hornberg. The igloo village hotel on the Saanerslochgrat offers a very special overnight experience.
