Fire ban in the forest and in the vicinity of the forest
With immediate effect, a fire and fireworks ban is in force throughout the entire Canton of Bern in forests and in areas close to forests. All open fires, the use of fire pits and barbecue areas, the launching of fireworks, bonfires, and sky lanterns are prohibited. The preparation of fondue or raclette outdoors using gas or camping stoves is also not permitted. This ban also applies to the National Day celebrations on 1 August 2026.
