Cycling guides & cycling services
With its comprehensive range of cycling-related services, the holiday region Gstaad is the perfect place for a pleasant stay. The following outlets rent mountain bikes, electric bikes and road bikes and also offer a repair service. In addition, there are numerous battery charging stations, rent-a-bike, first-aid stations and transport options in the region Gstaad.
Behaviour in the mountains
Mutual understanding between tourism and agriculture is needed for respectful coexistence in the mountains. This is because hiking trails often cross pastures where cows graze. Mountain bikers and hikers often use the same paths.
Anyone wishing to spend the night in the mountains should follow the rules carefully: Overnight stays in a small tent or as a bivouac above the tree line are permitted, as are overnight stays on private land with the landowner’s consent or an emergency bivouac. Please plan carefully, check the weather and natural hazards, and respect protected areas and local rules. For comfortable and official overnight stays, we recommend using the campsites and parking areas in the region.
Thank you for following our rules and behaving with respect in the mountains. We have drawn up the «Respect in the Mountains» charter for this purpose.
A tour should be planned well in advance and your equipment should be tailored to it! We recommend saving the emergency number 112 in your mobile phone. No liability is accepted in the event of accidents.
Share the trail - respect eachother
In the Gstaad holiday region, hikers, mountain bikers and other users largely use the same paths. Tolerance and consideration for each other is therefore important. Mountain bikers slow down to walking pace when overtaking and stop when crossing narrow paths to allow hikers to pass. Hikers accept mountain bikers as equal path users and give way where possible and sensible when they meet. All trail users adhere to the Trail Knigge.
