From the southern valley side at the point “Mürni”, the path leads along the road towards southwest. At the first fork, the path continues towards southeast through a forest clearing. Uphill, you reach the wide ridge up to Steinmandli (stone tower) at about 1950 m a.s.l. With skis, you return along the ascent track via the same route back into Turbach valley.

    There are no parking spaces available on Berzgummstrasse. Please observe the driving ban.

  • Turbach – Bachegg – Steinmandli

    • For route selection as well as assessment of your own experience, performance, and alpine dangers during ascents and descents in alpine terrain, everyone is responsible for themselves.
    • Plan every mountain route carefully and adapt it to your own condition as well as the weather and season.
    • The weather in the mountains can change rapidly. Therefore, bring appropriate clothing, enough provisions and water. Turn back in good time if the weather is uncertain.
    • Inform others about the route and if possible, never go alone.
    • Walking on ski slopes is prohibited.
    • Show consideration for other hikers as well as plants and animals.
    • Observe the warning signs that alert you to the constant danger in the riverbed and on the banks of watercourses below dams and water intakes.
