Starting from Zweisimmen train station, the route gently goes to St. Stephan and from there up the "Reulissentrasse" to the "Rüwlispass." Passing the beautiful mountain huts, the path leads on the gravel road to Hornberg and further to Horneggli. From here, the descent begins on the single trail to Saanenmöser, continuing via mountain bike route no. 1 back to Zweisimmen. Those who like single trails can add the Simmengrund Trail between Oeschseite and Zweisimmen.
Those who prefer to stay on roads can also take the road from Hornberg to Saanenmöser.

  • Approach

    The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland directly on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival.

  • This route is not signposted in the terrain. Use GPS.

  • Mountain bike, weather-appropriate clothing and equipment, puncture repair kit and first aid kit.

  • Treat yourself to a piece of cake in one of the two restaurants on the Hornberg. A picnic is very suitable on the "Rüwlispass".
