Zweisimmen forms the gateway to the world-famous Gstaad-Saanenland region. Above the cozy village, on a terrace with several elongated hills, lies Sparenmoos. The winter hike on the raised bog to Site Alp begins east of the Berghaus Sparenmoos. It goes relatively flat towards Site Alp. This section is accompanied by a spectacular view of the Simmental and the Bernese Alps. With the view into Simmental in front of you, the path rises slightly until the turning point at the Site Alp restaurant. The return route runs parallel to the winter hiking trail back to the Berghaus Sparenmoos. There is the possibility to sled back to Zweisimmen.

  • Approach

The Gstaad destination is located in the southwest of Switzerland directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thunersee region, the Geneva lake area, and the Greyerzerland. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the Gstaad destination are the "MOB" railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postbus lines.

On the page Arrival and public transport on gstaad.ch you will find detailed travel information.
