The hike from Saanen leads along the road via Rüebeldorf towards Chalberhöni. Shortly after entering the forest, you leave the road and follow the Cholisgrind path up to Cholis Vorschessli. Here you turn right and walk to Cholisgrind at 1,281 m above sea level.

From the summit you hike back the same way to Cholis Vorschessli. From here, the path zigzags northward through the forest down to Saanen.

  • Approach

    The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thunersee region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports of Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the train "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postal bus lines.
