From Col du Pillon, the cable car comfortably takes you up to Glacier 3000. The hike begins directly at the Scex Rouge mountain station. For those who prefer a more leisurely start, first take the Ice Express chairlift down onto the glacier and start the snow walk from there. The destination of the Glacier Walk, reached after one hour: the restaurant Refuge l’Espace at the edge of the glacier near the Quille du Diable. Here you can enjoy a wonderful view down into the Val Derborance and the Valais region.

Attention: the Refuge l’Espace restaurant is currently closed!

Those who have regained their strength return on foot to Scex Rouge. Those who prefer to relax and enjoy the beautiful view can simply take the Snow Bus from Glacier 3000.

  • Approach

    The holiday region of Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey.
