After the ascent on the Wispile gondola lift, the trail starts on the left-hand side of the mountain restaurant and leads from there along the ridge of the Wispile to the Chrinetritt. There, the footpath splits; the route follows the path leading to the right towards Gsteig. After this short descent to the Chrine alpine hut, there is a brief climb back up to the Chrine pass. From there, follow the single track towards Lauenen. Once in Lauenen, a detour to Lake Lauenensee is definitely worthwhile. The extra climb is quickly forgotten when you stand on the shores of this natural gem. If you fancy it, you can even treat yourself to a quick dip in the lake. Afterwards, the varied Rossfälli Trail leads back to Lauenen and then continues along a side road and single tracks to Gstaad and through its promenade. On leaving Gstaad, follow Cycle Route No. 9 up to Schönried to the Horneggli valley station. After the ascent on the Horneggli chairlift, the route follows the Horny Trail to Wittere and on to Schönried. After a short stretch of tarmac, the route continues along a flowing trail via Saali into Farb and from there leisurely back to Gstaad along the valley floor.
The unmarked tour mainly follows single tracks and natural tracks, with only a short section on tarmac side roads.
