Saanen Street Festival

Dear shop owner, dear restaurant operator, dear community
For twelve years now, the village zone of Saanen has been car-free. This measure has positively and sustainably shaped village life: it has created new meeting spaces, increased the quality of stay, and strengthened the attractiveness of the village for locals and guests alike. We would like to celebrate this "dozen" with a public, connecting, and identity-forming event.
The following information explains the event idea and the project.
Event Idea & Facts
Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Idea: "Zäme dür Saane" – Open Air Round Table for 12 years of car-free Saanen village: The village street will be transformed into a long celebration table with about 100 tables for interaction and community. Local businesses from trade and gastronomy will showcase their offerings, food options, and creative tables along the street. "Zäme dür Saane" makes the Saanen village life experienceable together.
Description of the Event
To add vibrancy to the village street, musical performances are planned. Mobile bands will move along the street and perform at different locations. Additionally, individual fixed points are planned, including a fashion show at Sanonaplatz, to round off the event. This year, there will be no Saanen Summer Festival. With the event "Zäme dür Saane", we aim to offer an alternative for guests, locals, and businesses.

Costs
Fest tables 80x240cm, optionally with or without benches. Restaurant businesses will receive fest benches as well. The selection will be available in the subsequent registration form.
1 table = CHF 100.00
2 tables = CHF 150.00
3 tables = CHF 220.00
Register "Zäme dür Saane" shows how lively, creative, and atmospheric Saanen is. The event strengthens local value creation, encourages encounters, and makes the significance of the car-free village zone visible and experienceable for village life.
