February Concerts in Zweisimmen – Piano Concerts

The 18th "February Festival" at the Reformed Church of Zweisimmen.
The concert association Zweisimmen organizes several church concerts each year, including the "February Concerts" and the two "December Concerts" of the Cantate Choir Zweisimmen.

Piano Concertos
by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Frederic Chopin in chamber music arrangements

Pianist RETO REICHENBACH will perform together with the renowned string quartet
J.Ozolina, S.Mussakhan, A.Giussani, G.Abele.

"Concerti for five" is the title given to the works that will be performed in this special format. With the chamber music version of two major piano concertos, the artists are harking back to a style of music-making that was prevalent in the 19th century in the salons of distinguished houses. Many orchestral works found their first audience in such intimate settings. We are pleased to revive this tradition here in Zweisimmen with two well-known, beautiful concertos by Mozart (C major KV 415) and Chopin (No. 2 in F minor Op. 21).
