Exhibition in Saanen – Siegfried Contemporary

The new exhibition at Siegfried Contemporary in Saanen opens on Friday, January 30, at 6:00 PM.
From February 1 to March 14, the gallery presents a selection of works by Machteld Rullens, Robert Coutelas, Rosemarie Trockel, and Meuser.

The exhibition brings together four artistic positions that each engage with everyday materials, industrial fabrics, or simple starting objects in their own way. At its core is the question of how such materials lose their functional character through artistic intervention and become independent, autonomous art objects.

The exhibition showcases an exciting connection between different generations and forms of expression. The selected works enter into a dialogue with the work of Machteld Rullens, whose transformed, object-like works form the starting point of the curatorial idea. Together, the artists open new perspectives on how seemingly unremarkable materials can become carriers of meaning, form, and artistic language.
