Visit to the Alp in Schönried

Find out why the cows are on the alp in summer and how cheese is made.
A thrilling morning with a wonderful view awaits you after a hike from the Horneggli mountain station (approximately 40 minutes).
The explanations will be in German, and it will be possible to translate the key information.


Good footwear, sure-footedness on unpaved paths, and basic fitness are required.

The activity lasts about 3.5 hours, including the chairlift ride and hike to the alp. 

The ticket for the mountain cable car is not included and must be organized by the participants.

Equipment

Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear good shoes and bring your own food and drink.

Level of difficulty

The path to the alp is partly steep and unpaved. Good footwear, sure-footedness on unsurfaced paths and a basic level of fitness are required; the trail is suitable for children.

Price

The mountain railway ticket is not included.

Meeting point

08:45 hrs Horneggli valley station, Schönried

Arrival Information

- Meeting point 08.45 Uhr at the valley station Horneggli in Schönried. A Guide will accompany you durtind the activity.
- Joint ride to the Horneggli
- Walk to the alp, ca. 40 minutes
- After visiting the alp, you can take the Horneggli railway back to Schönried, or hike up to the Hornberg to the Rinderberg or down to Gstaad.
- The tickets for the mountain railways are note incluted.

Requirements

Registration until the day before at 11:00 AM.

Note about booking:
For this family program, at least one child and one adult must book together.
All participating individuals require their own booking.
