Game observation watching with the Haldi family

The Haldi family know the forests in Saanenland like the back of their hand. In the early morning hours, it's time to set off for game watching. Over hill and dale, Bruno leads his guests to the kings of the forest. Under the moonlight in the clearing, the coats of the graceful Alpine ibex and chamois gleam almost white. An unforgettable experience.

Discover the Lake Lauenen nature reserve with the Ranger

“I think I will visit Lake Lauenen more often”, goes one of the best known classic Swiss songs. The local Rangers, Lukas von Siebenthal and Erich Käser, guide their guests into the nature reserve around the much-serenaded lake. Across the high moor, over mountain streams and past the great waterfall, the Rangers point out the beauty of the local flora and fauna - at peace with nature.

Wild mushrooms and berries - the forest creates, and man studies

They sprout from the ground and dangle from the bushes in all colours and shapes. Bert Inäbnit takes his guests on a walk through the forest and explains the special properties of the local wild mushrooms and berries. The retired architect, ornithologist and mushroom expert knows his stuff: he has written a number of nature books and runs the smallest nature museum in Switzerland.

Saanen Mustard Production with Léonie Müller

The people of Saanenland put their own twist on the traditional mustard recipe many years ago: in addition to mustard seeds, Saanen mustard contains cherry purée instead of the usual grape juice. Léonie Müller gives an insight into the preparation of the spicy paste that is inseparable from ham and cheese slices.

Saani’s Family Program

Saani's fall family program guarantees fun for young and old alike: activities such as a visit to the farm, the cheese cave, or the red deer enclosure round off the family experience.

Saani will also show you Saaniland with the most amazing places in her homeland: Saani's mountain adventure teaches young and old alike about plants, animals, and the moor in a playful way, while Saani's sound experience brings the sounds of the Alps to life for everyone. Another highlight is the Alpenruhe adventure world in Saanen. Have fun!
