Wheelchair-accessible trails

The holiday region Gstaad has asphalted or solid gravel paths with a minimum width of 80 cm, which serve as baby carriage and wheelchair paths and allow all visitors to enjoy nature without restrictions.

Saanen - Gstaad - Grund

A leisurely walk along the Saane. Between Saanen and Gstaad, the route leads along the «Saanis sound adventure trail» - a highlight for children! Halfway located is the Alpenruhe Foundation's petting zoo. The entire route is asphalted. Numerous bus stops allow a return journey by post bus at any time.

Schönried - Gstaad

Popular panoramic hike for connoisseurs of all ages. A continuously asphalted road leads down to Gstaad. There is a wonderful view of the Saanenland and the mountains. Caution: last section with a steep incline.

  • Difference in altitude: 180 m downhill

Historical trail

Eleven panels along this themed trail concisely summarize the local history from the 13th to the 19th century. This popular panoramic trail is wheelchair-accessible and suitable for baby carriages. A visit to the Saanen Landscape Museum in Saanen is also recommended.

Turbach – Scheidbach – Gstaad

Ideally, you should take the bus to the starting point first. From the village of Turbach, head back down to Gstaad via Scheidbach. At the Wasserngrat valley station, take the left-hand road towards Schiibe, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Saanenland. The road is asphalted throughout.

Parking Arnensee - rear bank end - Arnensee

On the right bank of the lake, a wide gravel track leads to the end of the lake. It has a few small climbs and descents over the 3.5 kilometres, but is easily manageable. However, the left bank of the lake can only be crossed with help in some places. The trail then leads back the same way.

Saanenmöser - Zweisimmen

From Saanenmöser, the road leads past Oeschseite railway station down to Zweisimmen. At Saanenmöser railway station, follow the hiking and biking trail towards Oeschseite and Zweisimmen. The route is characterised by uphill and downhill sections.The first steep section starts right at the «le petit relais» hotel. You can also change back to the train at Oeschseite station, halving the distance.

Hotel Alpenland in Lauenen - Rohr - Lauenen

Idyllic walk along the Lauibach stream with views of the Rohr moorland. Tarmac and gravel road with a very gentle gradient.The path leads back along the same route.
