From Kapälliplatz in Gstaad, stroll toward Saanen to the Galerie Atelier d'Artiste. Pass under the railway underpass toward Gschwend and follow the Saane River. A quiet, shady path leads from there along the river to the Alpenruhe Foundation - a home for disabled persons with a cafeteria. Then you hike to the Chouflisbach, which leads you back to the Saane River. Follow this until you reach the village of Saanen. After a recommended visit to the Museum of the Saanen Landscape and the Menuhin Center Saanen, your walk ends at the nearby Mauritiuskirche.

The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly at the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports of Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous postbus lines.
