The route is ideal for anyone looking to take a leisurely approach to a day’s walking – with plenty of nature, beautiful views and time to enjoy each other’s company along the way.
The walk begins on Gstaad’s lively promenade. From there, the path leads past the Gstaad Palace and up to the quieter Oberbort, where stunning views across the valley soon come into view. In a particularly well-maintained chalet area, Gstaad shows its elegant side: typical wooden buildings, lovingly designed surroundings and plenty of peace and quiet characterise this section.
The route then takes you back into nature – across lush meadows, past grazing cows and accompanied by the sound of their bells. After crossing the Saane, an idyllic stretch follows along the river through a shady wood, inviting you to take a deep breath.
Part of the route runs alongside the Saani Sound Experience before passing the Menuhin Tent and finally returning to the promenade.
