Public transport
Public transport with Gstaad Card
In the spirit of sustainability, public transport in 2nd class is included / free of charge throughout the year during your stay in the Gstaad Card experience area between Saanenland and Simmental.
Only on the four GoldenPass Express (GPX) trains per day between Montreux - Gstaad – Interlaken the seating capacity is very limited in winter 23/24 due to high demand and no transport guarantee can be given!
The MOB and the tourism organisations recommend using the other connections. For the GPX trains, it is urgent to buy a seat reservation. In the prestige class of the GPX, reservation is even compulsory. Reservations can be purchased directly from the GoldenPass Express website.
The Gstaad Card can be used for arrival and departure.

Public transport in the holyday region Gstaad
The holiday region Gstaad benefits from an extensive public transport network, both within the region itself and beyond. The main mode of transport is the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) railway and a number of post bus routes. The MOB links up the villages of Château-d'Oex, Rougemont, Saanen, Gstaad, Schönried, Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen. Between Gstaad and Saanen there are ski buses which operate between mid-December to mid-March every 20 minutes. The use of the ski bus is free for anyone.
