Gstaad Festival Amateur Orchestra

For its 13th edition, in addition to the performance of Schumann's Fourth, the amateur orchestra week is breaking new ground by joining forces for the first time with a choir as part of an international cultural exchange. Together with the Cheongchun Choir from Seoul, they will perform excerpts from Bizet's opera Carmen as well as traditional Korean melodies. The Gstaad Festival Amateur Orchestra offers the ideal opportunity to practice music with other enthusiasts from both here and abroad. It also gives access to the Gstaad Menuhin Festival concerts, and all within a unique setting: Saanenland. The week is expertly directed by Kevin Griffiths, who is supported by a team of professional conductors.
