Cable car ride Erlenbach-Stockhorn return

Arrival Information

Erlenbach is located in the Bernese Oberland at the beginning of the Simmental valley towards Lenk and Gstaad. The valley station of the Stockhorn cable car is easily accessible by car from Bern in approx. 30 minutes and from Thun in approx. 15 minutes. Parking spaces are available at the valley station (subject to a charge). The Stockhornbahn timetable is coordinated with the train timetable.

From the Simmental, the aerial cableway leads in two sections over the Hinterstockensee lake up to the summit. At 2190 m above sea level, the Stockhorn summit is the highest mountain in the Stockhorn range. On a clear day, a breathtaking panoramic view opens up over the city of Thun, Lake Thun and the Mittelland all the way to the Jura. At any time of year, the Stockhorn offers a varied nature and mountain experience as well as culinary highlights.
