From Kapälliplatz in Gstaad, stroll towards Saanen to the Galerie Atelier d'Artiste. Pass the railway underpass towards Gschwend and follow the Saane. A quiet, shaded path then leads along the river to the Stiftung Alpenruhe - a home for the disabled with a cafeteria, a large playground, and a petting zoo. Afterwards, hike to the Chouflisbach, which takes you back to the Saane. Follow it until you reach the village of Saanen. After a recommended visit to the Museum of the Saanen Landscape and the Menuhin Center Saanen, your walk ends at the nearby Mauritiuskirche.

The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland directly on the border with the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Lake Thun region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland ensure a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport within the region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous PostBus lines.
