F3 Tour du Wildhorn Stage 2: Geltenhütte - Iffigenalp (via Wildhornhütte)

East of Geltenhütte, the mountain path leads past the Alp Usseri Gelten and the steep flank of the Vollhoren to the Alp Chütungel (wire ropes and a ladder to secure the path). Unique view from Geltentrittli to Geltenschuss and over the Lauenental. The path continues from Alp Chütungel to Stierentungel, past the marshes of great ecological importance, to Tungelpass. After the steep ascent over the Hengstensprung, the almost horizontal path passes the north flank of the Niesenhorn to the Wildhornhütte. A nice little spot to eat, drink and rest. The subsequent descent over the Sandboden alluvial plain, past the magnificent Iffigensee, over old moraines to Alp Groppi is varied, continuing to Iffigenalp.
