From Gstaad, follow the bike path via Gruben to Schönried. At the main road, turn left and then immediately right towards the Rellerli gondola. Pass the valley station and climb up the paved side road to Bergmatte, then descend steeply to Saanenmöser. The way back to Schönried and further to Saanen again involves a rapid descent. In Gstaad, the ride continues via Gmünte towards Lauenen. The little road is steep just after Gstaad, then levels off. At the Gmünte bridge, reach the main road briefly, but turn off again at Enge. Before Lauenen awaits the Mur de Lauenen. A short but up to 20% steep climb up to the village center. From Lauenen, follow the main road back to Gstaad and then the bike path towards Gsteig. After Feutersoey, make a short climb up to Saali with its wetland meadows and old farmhouses and then down into picturesque Gsteig. Back to Gstaad, follow the main road, always gently downhill at a good pace.

The holiday region Gstaad is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun Lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and to all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant arrival. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous Postbus lines.
