The ascent to Rinderberg (2004 m) is comfortably done by gondola from Zweisimmen. From the mountain station, the hike mainly leads downhill into the Simmental to Ried in St. Stephan. Alpine pastures and wooded sections alternate along the way. In Lengebrand, the well-known Chemistube invites you to enjoy a delicious meal. In Ried, take the train back to Zweisimmen.

  • Approach

    The Gstaad holiday region is located in the southwest of Switzerland, directly on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessible by train or car from the Thun lake region, the Lake Geneva area, and the Gruyère region. Direct connections to the European high-speed train network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the Gstaad region are the "MOB" train (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and numerous post buses.
