Exposition "Gravitia Plena" d'Aurel Rubbish

His filigree and perfected cutting technique makes him the French representative of paper cutting.
The Museum des Pays-d'Enhaut & Swiss Paper Cutting Centre in Château-d'Oex is showing the exhibition "Gravitia Plena" by the artist Aurel Rubbish until 25 February.
A total of around twenty cut-outs will be on display on the ground floor of the museum, including a 1.20 metre high and 75 centimetre wide "Masterpiece". The artist reproduces his favourite subjects in his paper cut-outs: People and plants, or rather plants regaining power over people. Aurel Rubbish's interests include street art, the world of tattoos and religious icons, in particular the so-called "canivets" (pious or sacred images). Influences that he likes to transfer into his works in his own way. Recently, the superimposition of paper cuts has become his main technique, in which he mixes plants, bubbles (graffiti) and drops.
