After the ascent with the cable car Wispile the trail starts on the left side of the mountain restaurant and leads from there along the back of the Wispile to the "Chrinetritt". There the trail splits up, the route follows the path leading to the right towards Gsteig. After this short descent to the alpine hut "Chrine", a short ascent back to the "Chrine-Pass" follows. There you follow the hiking trail towards Lauenen and on a side road and hiking trail back to Gstaad and through the promenade. Leaving Gstaad follow the cycle route no. 9 up to Schönried to the valley station Horneggli. After the ascent with the Horneggli chairlift, the route leads to the right next to the top station on the hiking trail towards Schönried. At the second turn-off, the tour continues to the left and leads back to Gstaad via Gruben and Oberbort.

The tour leads mainly on single trails and asphalt roads.

  • Approach

    The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the destination of Gstaad are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.

  • From Gstaad railroad station by bike to Wispile bottom station (10 minutes).
