Eleven boards along this theme-based trail provide a potted history of the area from the 13th to the 19th century.

At the train station Schönried (1230m) you cross the railroad line to the right. Turn left in front of the sports store and walk approx. 100m. Turn left and you will reach the history trail (Panoramaweg). The history of the Gstaad region is explained on various boards. This trail is flat for about a kilometer, then later climbs slightly. You cross a small road and continue on a level path to Saanenmöser. Here you have the possibility to take the train back to Schönried.
