First you follow the route taken by the famous GoldenPass line and then you go along the stream: This route is picture-postcard beautiful in a typically Swiss way. It crosses the plateau and winds its way through some delightful wooded areas.

The area between the chalet village of Saanenmöser and Schönried promises plenty of sunshine and beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains of Gstaad, Saanen and Rougemont. Its central location makes it an excellent training ground.

The first half of the trail goes along the Chouflisbächli, taking in idyllic wooded sections and the high plateau. To return to Schönried, you follow the GoldenPass Panoramic railway line. With its famous panoramic trains, the Montreux-Oberland Bernois (MOB) line crosses Switzerland from Lake Lucerne to the vineyards bordering Lake Geneva.

The ground is varied and extensive, with gentle climbs and occasional descents. Along the way, you'll come across some of the region's typical chalet-style farmhouses, which you can admire in all their authenticity.

There is access to the cross-country ski trail at Saanenmöser, the pass between Saanenland and Simmental, and also at Schönried, which is regarded as the sun terrace of the Gstaad region.
