Spring Activities for Families

Spring brings new energy into our everyday lives! Whether indoors or outdoors, on rainy days or when the sun is shining – there are a variety of activities for young and old in the destination Gstaad.

Out into the fresh air!

Sliding, balancing, jumping, playing with water, the playgrounds of the destination Gstaad offer their guests a lot.Particularly popular with children is the playground at the Alpenruhe, which was opened in autumn 2022, and the playground at the Gstaad sports center. For the older ones there is a mini-golf course right next to it. At the playground in the village center of Zweisimmen, the wooden dragon and the Tyrolienne make many children's eyes light up. For all mountain lovers, in addition to the Glacier 3000, which is open throughout, the Eggli will also be open on weekends and public holidays starting on 18 May. Whether on a bike, like-a-bike or scooter – the pumptracks in Saanen (by the Oeyetli youth centre) and Zweisimmen (behind the train station) offer the perfect place to practise balance and speed and work on your bike skills. And the good thing is – everyone will be quite tired in the evening.

Rainy Day Programme

„April does what it wants“ – as much as we are looking forward to the warm weather, we are also familiar with this phrase because there is some truth to it. Good that there are enough activities in the destination Gstaad that turn boring rainy days into an adventure in no time at all. In the old fire station house in Saanen, it is especially exciting. In the STATION, children of all ages find something that they like. From cogwheels to marble runs to corners for crafting and fairytale gondolas – there are lots of stations waiting to be discovered here. For those who prefer to swim, slide, splish and splash, the Sportzentrum Gstaad sports centre has a water wonderland with different pools, a turbo water slide, a children’s paddling pool and a diving board. Don’t forget to present your Gstaad Card to receive a little surprise at STATION and discounted admission to the aquatic centre.

Saanis sound adventure trail

At 18 experience stations, children and their parents can playfully experience traditional folk music and also classical music, which has gained great importance in the Saanenland thanks to Yehudi Menuhin. However, they will not only get to hear musical tones, but also, wooden sounds through a tree trunk, animal voices at interactive consoles or nature sounds with Saani's big ears.

Don't forget: Get the puzzle book for the adventure trail (CHF 5.-) before the hike, find the treasure chest and get your reward

Not enough yet? We recommend you to try Saanis mountain adventure trail where you can work on your fitness and coordination on 17 stations.
