Biking tips for the fall
By Bike Through the Saanenland and Simmental
Over the Mittelberg up to Rellerli, from Lauenen up to Trütlisberg and then down the other side to Turbach ... There are sooo many beautiful bike tours in the Saanenland! And if we were to list all of our favorites, this text would be endless. That’s why we asked our ambassador, ski racer Lars Rösti, for his personal tip. He knows the region very well and doesn’t just get on his mountain bike to exercise, but also to fully enjoy the area he grew up in. One of his absolute favorites is the tour from St. Stephan over the Reulisenpass and Hornberg and then back to St. Stephan. „During this tour I can really switch off and enjoy nature and the beautiful panorama“ says Lars enthusiastically. The 30-kilometer tour can be done in about 3 hours for those in good condition.
If this tour is too much and you prefer a shorter tour, then we can recommend the „Saaner Fiirabe Rundi“ (Saaner After Work Round): from Saanen up to Underbort and then take the relatively short, but fun single trail back to Saanen. Those who really want to enjoy the evening can stop in at Hotel HUUS and treat themselves to a refreshing drink – or decide on the spot for an overnight stay at Hotel Solsana. The hotel is right next to the trail and not only offers a biker-friendly accommodation, but also a wonderful view onto the Saanenland.
