During the winter season 14 animal sculptures by the artist Davide Rivalta will have their winter residence in the destination of Gstaad.

These silent animals want to remind us that we are from the same animal world and that it is essential to attempt to maintain a close connection with them.
Rivalta dialogues and becomes one with his animals. They all exist in the real world. He observed and photographed them in captivity and with wide spatulas and hand strokes he restores their behavior and their character traits.

Locations:
• Gstaad Palace - a rhinoceros and three buffalos
• Park Gstaad - a cheetah and three paintings
• Le Grand Bellevue - three lions
• Eggli - a bear and an eagle
• Promenade Gstaad - four wolves

The artist:
The artist Davide Rivalta was born in Bologna, where he currently lives and works. He attended the art academy there. At the age of 25, he won a competition in 1988 and was able to place a monumental sculpture in the courtyard of the Justice Palace of Ravenna - six large gorillas. This was the beginning of his career. Sculpture, drawing and painting are his preferred forms of expression.
