Gstaad Menuhin Festival - Musical family hike

Sat, 18.08.2018, 09:30 - 15:00 h
Organised by Discovery, the programm for children and teenagers of Gstaad Menuhin Festival. Do you hear the marmot whistling?

A mini-bus drives everyone to Meielsgrund / Col de Jable (about 30 minutes). From there and accompanied by an marmot expert, you hike with an easy pace to the actual Col de Jable (about a 100m+) and strain one's ears: the marmots allready welcome you with their whistle.
After having enjoyed on one side the Swiss-German landscape and on the other side the Swiss-French landscape, and after having shaked hands above the lingustic border, you hike to the next marmots colony. On the way you learn a lot about the flora and the fauna in the Alps, you collect sounds of Nature and record them. If you stay really quiet for a while, you may see a marmot between the rocks. After a lunch (offered) you try some yodel and play musical games.
