The Destination Gstaad puts on an attractive and varied programme throughout the year for music lovers. These festivals, especially the Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy, enjoy an international reputation.
Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy
The Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy with its some 60 concerts is world-renowned. Because the festival has been a family story right from the start, the anniversary year 2016 marked both its 60th year and founder Yehudi Menuhin’s centenary with the theme of Musique et Famille. Year after year, some of the greats in the classical music scene honour the event with their presence.
Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad
The Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad wows its audiences with classical music over the period of one week. National and international artists inspire their listeners in the churches and chapels of the region. Members of the audience can meet the performers over a gourmet dinner served after the church concerts.
New Year Music Festival
This music festival, held over the New Year, gives all classical music lovers the chance to see the Old Year out and see in the New in an atmospheric musical setting. The festival is a fixed key occasion on the Saanenland events calendar, and 2016 marks the 10th time the festival is being held.
