There are three strong engines driving forward the development of tourism in the Destination Gstaad. Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus (GST) is responsible for the core tourism business from visitor care to destination strategy while Bergbahnen Destination Gstaad AG (BDG) ensures that there are attractive offers on the mountains. Both, together with the hotel association and business association, are parent companies of Gstaad Marketing GmbH, which has been promoting their offers on their behalf since 1 November 2016 as well as maintaining and expanding the globally recognised strength of the Gstaad brand.
Travellers have been hailing the region’s charms from as far back as the 18th century. The region’s first tourism associations were founded in Gstaad and Saanen. Today, Gstaad Saanenland Tourismus is the tourism organisation which unites the region’s 9 former tourism associations.
