Public Transport

As a holiday destination Gstaad benefits from an extensive network of public transport both within the region itself and beyond. The main mode of transport is the "MOB" railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and a multitude of postal bus routes.

Rail / M.O.B. Golden Pass
The MOB links up the villages of Château-d'Oex, Rougemont, Saanen, Gstaad, Schönried, Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen as well as the town of Montreux (VD) and Lenk in the Simmental valley.

Postal Bus Routes
The postal buses operate along the following routes:

Gstaad-Turbach
Schönried-Gstaad-Glacier 3000-Les Diablerets

NB: The postal buses are also integrated as part of the SBB train timetable. The starting point and final destination need to be specified.

Saanen - Gstaad Ski Bus (only during winter)
In winter the Gstaad Ski Bus is also in operation between the railway stations and the valley stations in Saanen and Gstaad.

Validity of the ski pass on the public transport (only during winter)
Valid at all times on the train from St. Stephan to Rossinière in 2nd class carriages and on the PostBus from Saanenmöser to Col du Pillon, Lauenen and Turbach as well as in the ski bus. Not valid for people travelling
to or from work or school.
