Public Transport

As a holiday destination Gstaad benefits from an extensive network of public transport both within the region itself and beyond. The main mode of transport is the "MOB" railway (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) and a multitude of postal bus routes.

Rail / M.O.B. Golden Pass
The MOB links up the villages of Château-d'Oex, Rougemont, Saanen, Gstaad, Schönried, Saanenmöser and Zweisimmen.

Postal Bus Routes
The postal buses operate along the following routes:
Gstaad-Lauenen
Gstaad-Turbach
Schönried-Gstaad-Glacier 3000-Les Diablerets

NB: The postal buses are also integrated as part of the SBB train timetable.

Ski bus Gstaad, Saanen and Rougemont
In addition to the normal schedule there is a ski bus available as from December 22nd to March 17th. The bus runs from 9am to 5pm in a 15 minute cycle in Gstaad, Saanen and Rougemont between the train station and the mountain stations. The use of the ski bus is free for anyone, even without a ski pass.
