From an artistic point of view the Sommets Musicaux is one of the few first-rate music festivals to be staged in the winter. It comprises classical music enjoyment with soloists and chamber music in local churches and in a separate concert cycle with young up-and-coming artists.

Highlights

• The festival founded in 2001 stands out by virtue of its sheer artistic quality. Past performances as part of the main cycle have included artists such as Anne Sophie Mutter, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Mischa Maisky and Sol Gabetta.
• The Young Musicians Cycle consists of several concerts at the Gstaad Chapel, featuring young artists in a particularly attractive setting.
