Denise Hartmann, work placement student

Denise Hartmann is a work placement student currently employed in the Marketing Department of Gstaad Saanenland Tourism. The native of Aargau is fascinated by how proudly traditions are kept alive in the Saanenland. She is especially taken with the region’s typical paper cutting art.

“The exhibition in the Chäller-Galerie in the basement of the Heimatwerk Gstaad enables visitors to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of both traditional and modern paper cutting art. If you take a moment to stop and look at the pictures, you will quickly notice the most intricate details. Every paper cutting tells its own story. The motifs range from cattle being driven up into the Alps to holiday and hunting scenes, chalets and the endearing mascot of the Saanenland – the Saanen goat.”
