Monika Häusler from Safenwil in the Canton of Aargau is an office worker and the mother of two adult daughters. As a regular visitor to the destination of Gstaad, she is very enthusiastic about the Sanetsch region. That is where the Canton of Berne borders on the Canton of Valais. Hiking in this dramatic and at the same time romantic mountain landscape is a real experience for her.

 

‘From the pass, you can enjoy the view extending to Sion in the Canton of Valais and high up to the Tsanfleuron Glacier. The water in the reservoir is amazingly clear. In the border area between the two cantons, there is also a cosy guesthouse that has more to offer than just an impressive collection of antiques.
