Alpine Routes
Alpine routes are hikes lasting one or more days along paths and trails in high mountains. They run in part across untracked terrain, across snow fields and glaciers or across rocks. Structural precautions on alpine routes are limited to securing points in particularly exposed areas where there is a risk of falling.
Selected alpine routes
Tour du Wildhorn (alpine tour over a number of passes lasting several days) |
| From the Diablerets Glacier to the Sanetschsee (one-day tour) |
Caution:
Alpine routes should only be undertaken in good and stable meteorological conditions with the appropriate equipment, sufficient physical fitness and adequate alpine knowledge!
