The village of Gsteig was first mentioned in an official record in 1312 under the name "Chastalet" (watch, defence or refuge tower). The circuit itself is enchanting and features the untamed beauty of the Burgfälle waterfall. There are lots of information boards with facts relating to the past and present of the Gsteig-Feutersoey community.
