Rules for caravans and dormobiles
Strict rules apply to motor homes outside of campsites. In the local authority of Saanen, camping in motor homes outside of campsites is permitted for a maximum of three night. For stays of four or more nights, permission from the local police authority is required. In any case, the consent of the landowner in question is required. Registration with the tourist information centre of the relevant village is compulsory (mandatory visitor's tax).
In the local authorities of Gsteig, Lauenen and Zweisimmen, it is strictly prohibited to spend the night in public car parks. There are no special parking spaces available. The campsites should generally be used.
