The perfect mix

With its gentle topography and varied speciality cheeses, the region of Gstaad offers the perfect mix for sophisticated bons vivants. Two specially designated huts and three inordinately large fondue pots, each with enough room for up to eight people, provide the perfect backdrop for dining, socialising and marvelling at the unparalleled panoramic views. Whether you travel on foot, by bike, by sledge or on snowshoes, or even if you would like to choose your very own outdoor relaxation spot – anything is possible in Fondueland Gstaad. By the way: this fondue is the perfect mix at any time of year.

The Fondue Backpack

This is made possible thanks to the fondue backpack in a nostalgic design. It contains all of the ingredients needed for the irresistible outdoor experience: a full set of preparation equipment, either a traditional thick fondue or a particularly flavoursome truffle fondue made by the Schönried Dairy, as well as crusty fondue bread supplied by the Wehren Bakery, spices, fondue pot, warmer, plates and forks.

More information in the Alpine Authenticity brochure.

The fondue backpack is available from 2 people.

Gstaad

The region has a further 9 chalet villages alongside Gstaad, located at an altitude of between 1,000 and 1,400 metres. Yet despite its style and class, Gstaad has remained genuinely Alpine and down-to-earth. It is proud of its tradition and lives and breathes it every day.

Over a thousand cultural and sporting events are available to visitors every year, including top events with an international reputation. In addition, visitors will find first-class hotels, outstanding shopping facilities along the traffic-free promenade and an airport in Saanen.
