Campfires

Every village throughout the holiday destination of Gstaad has a number of beautifully sited campfires, ideal for BBQs or simply for taking time out.

All the campfires are visible on our interactive map.

Gstaad

Mettlen, on the left bank of the River Saane; accessible only by bike or on foot Location BBQ, seating, wood and a toilet (ToiToi) available

Saanen

Alpenruhe, opposite the Alpenruhe hostel; accessible only by bicycle or on foot. Location BBQ, seating and wood available

Grund near Gstaad

Löweli campfire site, from Gstaad in the direction of Feutersoey. Turn right after the bridge. Continue along the road for approx. 250 m. Location BBQ, seating, wood and a toilet (ToiToi) available

Feutersoey

Büdemli, entrance to Feutersoey, left after the Ledi Garage follow the road, under the bridge and then right along the Saane. Location BBQ, seating and wood available
Lac d'Arnon (3 campfire sites). Approx. 20 mins on foot from the car park. Location2 x BBQ, seating and wood available

Gsteig

Luuswäldli, in the centre of the village, opposite the Hotel Bären, take the road towards Rohr, cross the bridge and then right along the hiking trail LocationBBQ and seating available

Lauenen

Schönried

Zweisimmen

Schlegelholz / Blankenburg (3 campfire sites) Leave Zweisimmen heading for Lenk, turn right into the Moosbachweg – the sites are then approx. 2 km from here:
- 1 x at the Vita Park heading for St. Stephan Location
- 1 x at the bridge to the main road Location
- 1 x at Moosbach, at the end of the Vita Park Location
BBQ, seating and wood available. At the Vita Park in St. Stephan is a toilet (ToiToi) available.
Mühleport, at the Mätteli Centre heading for Mühlegässli, then along the gravel path towards the swimming pool. The campfire site is located in the forest. LocationBBQ, seating and wood available

Gstaad

The region has a further 9 chalet villages alongside Gstaad, located at an altitude of between 1,000 and 1,400 metres. Yet despite its style and class, Gstaad has remained genuinely Alpine and down-to-earth. It is proud of its tradition and lives and breathes it every day.

Over a thousand cultural and sporting events are available to visitors every year, including top events with an international reputation. In addition, visitors will find first-class hotels, outstanding shopping facilities along the traffic-free promenade and an airport in Saanen.
